Mr. Wilson was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Uwezo Microfinance Bank in December 2016. He has over 18 years of well-rounded banking experience in Corporate and Retail Banking at Senior Management levels and Mid-level in Banking Operations. Previously he has served as the General Manager Business in SMEP Microfinance Bank and prior to that as the Head of Corporate Banking and a member of the Executive Committee in Family Bank. Before being appointed as the Head of Corporate, he was the Regional Manager for Nairobi with an overall mandate for growth covering 21 Branches within the Greater Nairobi Metropolitan area.
He is a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, an opt-in research community of business professionals and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.
Wilson is a Certified Professional Coach on Engagement and Productivity (CEPC) by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). He is a leadership Alumni for Strathmore University and Daystar University. Wilson is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Knowledge Management at Stellenbosch University, South Africa and holds a BSc. Honors degree in Natural Resource Management at Egerton University. He holds Postgraduate qualifications in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (C.I.M.) and also in Information Systems Engineering (ISE) from Sunderland University, UK.
