Wilson Nguyo

Wilson Nguyo

Mr. Wilson was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Uwezo Microfinance Bank in December 2016. He has over 18 years of well-rounded banking experience in Corporate and Retail Banking at Senior Management levels and Mid-level in Banking Operations. Previously he has served as the General Manager Business in SMEP Microfinance Bank and prior to that as the Head of Corporate Banking and a member of the Executive Committee in Family Bank. Before being appointed as the Head of Corporate, he was the Regional Manager for Nairobi with an overall mandate for growth covering 21 Branches within the Greater Nairobi Metropolitan area.
He is a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, an opt-in research community of business professionals and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.
Wilson is a Certified Professional Coach on Engagement and Productivity (CEPC) by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). He is a leadership Alumni for Strathmore University and Daystar University. Wilson is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Knowledge Management at Stellenbosch University, South Africa and holds a BSc. Honors degree in Natural Resource Management at Egerton University. He holds Postgraduate qualifications in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (C.I.M.) and also in Information Systems Engineering (ISE) from Sunderland University, UK.

Finance & Operations Manager

Mr. John joined Uwezo MFB as Finance & Operations Manager with close to 10 year’s working experience. He is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya - C.P.A (k). He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (M.B.A) majoring in Strategic Management and a Bachelor of Business Management degree in Finance & Banking.
He has served both as an Operations & Customer Service Manager and also as a Senior Banking Officer-Operations at Groupe Bank of Africa (Kenya) for close to 7 years. He has been instrumental in ensuring a smooth day-to-day branch operations and excellent service delivery whilst managing associated risks. Prior to that he has also served as Relationship Officer - Operations at Equity Bank Ltd, Bank Clerk at Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), and as an Accountant at Scientronics International Ltd.

IT Manager

Mr. Ranji joined the management team of Uwezo MFB as the ICT Manager with over 5 years of experience in IT. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Information Technology from Africa Nazarene University. Before joining Uwezo he was working in different organizations; Ukristo Na Ufanisi Sacco as IT Assistant, Microsoft Kenya as the Consumer Channel Group, Office 365 & Microsoft Cloud and Devices developer, Microsoft 4Afrika Program, Kenya as the Microsoft Mobile Device and Service programmer, and Lufthansa Cargo Frankfurt, Germany as the application Development and Project Management Trainee, NextWAB project team member.
He is good in professional development and a mentor, he also does voluntary work and proficient his career work.

Debt Recovery Manager

Mr. Jim joined the management team as the Debt Recovery Manager with more than 7 years’ experience in banking and financial industry, with a bachelor’s degree from Moi University.
Has vast experience in credit and collections having worked in various organization’s with different capacity; worked as a banker with Faulu Kenya microfinance bank, then Joined Jiinue Credit Limited as a Business Operations Manager, then Tsusho Capital Kenya Limited (financing-arm of Toyota) as a Collection Specialist.
His involvement in various organization including motor industry gives him the exposure and competence required in exercising his duties well.
